As part of Red Nose Day, we celebrated heroes! The school had a special assembly where local heroes joined us. We had visits from paramedics, police, police dogs, a nurse, a footballer and not forgetting our school lollipop helpers! The children and staff dressed up as either real life heroes or superheroes. As well as special assemblies held throughout the day with our visitors, the children were involved in lots of creative activities. These included print making superhero logos, collages, making rosettes, designing superhero costumes, making super hero puppets, being shown how to draw and design a super hero.
Emily and Abigail were making puppet heroes. They made horses because Emily aspires to be a show jumper.
Abby
“I have made a rosette for my hero, me!”
She thought she was a hero for rescuing her cat.
